A snake that used to be a very common harmless snake found in the clean waterways around Johannesburg. If you find a clean water way (stream or pan) you simply lift up a few stones and you will find one of these snakes.
They are completely harmless and even wild ones do not bite.
However, due to pollution and disruptions of clean water ways around Johannesburg, they are now very rear.
They prey on frogs and fish.
