The Boomslang (African Tree Snake). One of South Africa's Deadly Dozen Snakes.
This is the most venomous snake in South Africa. NOTE - NOT MOST DANGEROUS.
It is the most venomous as it has the most potent of all South African snake venom. You need less Boomslang Venom to kill a man than from any other South African snake.
However there are a few factors that make this snake NOT the most DANGEROUS - that title belongs to the Black Mamba.

  1. The Boomslang by nature is far more docile and less likely to bite.
  2. It mainly lives in trees and would rather flee if approached.
  3. The Venom, although more potent than say for example a Black Mamba, it is slow working. So although you need less Boomslang Venom to kill a man, it takes a number of days to kill a man.
  4. The Boomslang yields less venom than Mambas, Cobras or Adders.
  5. The Boomslang is a back-fanged snake with less effective fangs than the front fanged Mambas, Cobras and Adders

thanks for ur info ...
is there a poison antidote for that snake ?

Yes there is. However this snake hardly ever bites a person. The anti-venom is specific for this type of snake and is very effective.

it has got black mouth and eventually the name blackmamba came into being, most venomous snake of all times...

that so dangerous...
be careful

Are you really playing with Boomslang, this shows you are fearless, holding the Boomslang on stick is quite difficult task to perform.

Them become quite tame in captivity and it is a rather easy snake to hold on a stick.
Wild ones are very fast and you need to have a bit of skill to hold on a stick.

great. many people are proud to see you here. I wish you success

Damn, gotta have kahoonas to do that.
@goldiemr

I love that I learn a lot about snakes from you, @mambaman. I am still terrified, but I am educated. You are awesome for doing what you do!😄
