The morning after I arrived back to my bucolic country cottage in freezing wet Somerset, from Mexico...i fould this little fella slithering across my sitting room floor. Stow-away or seasonally-confused local? The rescue centre assures me that it is a fledgling grass snake from round these ‘ere parts. One of a nest of 30. Located really nearby. Phew! So reassuring to know...😬🐍✨
