CNN, one of the largest news channels in the world, is preparing to end the Snapchat news program, which was launched just four months ago.
As Internet publishing grows day by day, television publishing, falling into the 'traditional' category, continues to integrate into emerging communication tools. Through channels like Youtube, Scope, Facebook and İnstagram, channels that interact with audiences using a variety of publishing practices are trying to keep the television, which is getting less popular in the daylight, and to be called 'new' again. CNN, which broadcasts its vertical video format news program via popular social network Snapchat, is on the way to giving up on this initiative.

CNN's news was based on Snapchat, reports from journalists and correspondents around the world, and was presented in 3-minute formats in the form of a gallery. According to the WSJ, the end of this venture was because it did not have a direct impact on profitability. CNN was one of the largest partners in the Discover feature, including license fees initiated by Snapchat. CNN, meanwhile, said it will not leave the Snapchat platform even though it left Discover.

Snapchat is used by many organizations with CNN. The CNN news program, for example, started in late August. Shortly thereafter, NBC News announced that more than 29 million viewers in the first month were "Stay Tuned" followers. According to NBC, the viewers caught by "Stay Tuned" were quite young. NBC said earlier this year that 60 percent of its audience was under 25 years old. And according to NBC, advertisers who provide profitability for channels are not skipped by viewers.
