Yup. I've lots of thoughts on this—mostly pet theories. Steemit has been in beta for a really long time, and you can only do really well as a content-creator if you're networking, and networking is not easy here. I think it's purposeful, like a weird ecosystem they've made so that if you've got the capacity—the white paper calls it "proof-of-brain"—you'll make it work, anddddd truly add value to the blockchain.

It'll be interesting to see the future platforms built off the blockchain. Can't remember who said it, but someone said that if people keep using Steemit (the interface) then they will have failed. They want people to build something better and move on from Condenser (the Steemit UI)
