UPDATE ON STEEM-TIMES: WE ARE RECRUITING

For several weeks, I have been part of a group of amazing individuals who have been mandated, as a result of winning a category in the @sndbox summercamp quest, a quest that is meant to introduce new members into the sndbox community, to form a newspaper of, on and about the steem blockchain in its entirety.

We have gathered together to create a paper that will cover issues on the blockchain as well as identify content that we consider to have been superbly created; writing, blogging, photography, music, videos and so on. So far, we have created the account on steemit as well as a wordpress account which is linked to the steemit account through the steempress project. We have also started posting columns and articles and you can go check out our paper @steem-times.

We are linking to wordpress because we do not want to just create content within steemit, we want to take steem to the world. One of the aims of the paper is to put before the general public, well written content that may or may not have been properly rewarded. It is our hope that the world would find the beauty that we have discovered here on the steem blockchain and as a result the content on this platform would put content creators in strategic positions to greatly maximize opportunities. Mainly though, we just want to talk about Steem and steem based projects.

The project is not a small do and as a result we have decided to open our doors to contributors within the steem blockchain ecosystem who are willing to become a part of the first blockchain supported newspaper. We want contributors in any discipline or niche who feel that they have quality content in terms of relevance to the steemit community, artistry as well as knowledge.

If you are interested in being a part of this project, you can do this by writing an article and dropping it off in the Google form whose link I will drop here. If we, the editors find your writing to be up to par with our needs, we will post your article on the paper. Note that a slew of superbly written articles can guarantee a staff position on the paper. Notwithstanding, any contributor whose article is published on the paper will get a reward for his or her services even if it is a one time submission.

We hope that you will find this opportunity of importance to your writing career and we believe that this project would do something amazing for you as well as for everyone of us involved.

In other news, @grabriellecd, who is presently our editor-in-chief has created the paper’s own discord server but as we are still setting it up, it is not yet open to the general public. When it is open, you will find it easier to communicate with the community that we are gradually forming around the paper and you and the rest of the steem ecosystem would become a part of the project and as a result help us take the steem blockchain to the rest of the world.

For those of you interested in contributing articles to the @steem-times, this is the Google form link here. Endeavor to fill the relevant sections. We would love to read your writing; we know they would be amazing. Please note that a submission is not a guarantee that your article would be accepted but we will definitely read them.
