I'm a new snowboarder but looking for gear that is going to last me a long time. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am looking for either Burton or Lib Tech...What do you think Steemians?!?!?

I also need to get bindings and boots as well!

Both you can not go wrong with!!!!

You should definately go for Lib-Tech of GNU. Both from Mervin Manufacturing. They invented the rocker technology every brand is using nowadays and are still producing their stuff in the USA instead of China. I ride a Lib-Tech Travis Rice Pro myself and it's the best board I ever rode. Flex, pop, forgiving, stable at speed and durable. A real all-mountain shredder! You won't regret it. All my friends ride Lib-Tech or GNU (practically the same techniques used to build them only the shapes are unique).

Furthermore I would suggest Burton boots with speedzone lacing, which makes it very easy to adjust your boots. Nice liners (the inside of the boot), durable materials and good quality.

I use Burton bindings myself, but a lot of people I know ride Union or Bent Metal (also from Mervin Manufacturing).

Enjoy your ride!
