Seven Oaks Dam is holding back a magnificent display of water this year! You may have already read my earlier post on it here:

Now that the weather has turned quite dry and windy, we figured the coast was clear to drop in on the Reservoir via Warm Springs Canyon Road. The drainages were still flowing into the deep ravines, making all the gorgeous riparian trees lush.

Here's a quick video of where the road abruptly deadends into an absolutely mindboggling volume of water:

It was just a brief visit, just a nice getaway on a Friday afternoon. The reservoir receded, another photo in my scrapbook......

Whoa, that's a lot of water there! I saw San Gabriel reservoir the other day and it's the same. The whole OHV area is underwater! I'm really loving all this water in the mountains right now. I'm seeing so many usually dry creeks and waterfalls that are flowing. Plus all the green, and the flowers. It's awesome.

It is so exciting to see all the thirsty canyons get full of juice! Yay! It is a whole year since we went to clean up East Fork. Time to meet up in the woods again soon

Yep. Most definitely. We gotta plan a hike!
