Sure, you can see the ocean from the 101, but nothing beats jumping onto Pacific Coast Highway at Emma Wood for this stretch of road that passes right along Solimar Beach, Faria Beach and Rincon before getting back onto the freeway for the trip into Carpinteria or all the way to Santa Barbara. I love coming out of this small tunnel and looking right at the waves and the Channel Islands.
