I've been searching the Bitcoin forum where I discovered steem/steemit as a new cryptocoin/social media platform. Not only you can see here some very interesting stories but you get paid for curating and submitting stories.
Another cryptocoin that caught my eye and following recently is SocialCoin (SOCC). It's a bit similar to STEEM where coins are rewarded for social media activities like posting, commenting, likes, comments, reviews etc. The main difference is that SocialCoins are given for activities for all SocialMedia websites. Below are some of the coin specs.
Coin specs
Coin: SocialCoin. The coin for social media.
Ticker: SOCC
Algo: Scrypt
Type: PoW (correct, no PoS, this one is for the miners)
Supply: 75,000,000
Premine: 1%
This will be used to fund the push of the currency. Not necessarily used to ‘fund development’ like most coins claim, but the
assumption is that people will need to receive funds in order to then give coins and get the thing started. This is what the
premine will enable.Disclosure – Some of the premine will be kept for ourselves. Reward for the efforts. This is emphatically not a pump-and-
dump however and the amount retained will be small.
Coinbase maturity: 20 blocks
Target spacing: 4 minutes
Target timespan: 20 minutes
Confirmations: 6 blocks
Halving: 495000
RPCport: 18646
Port: 18645
Nodes:

addnode=31.8.179.249:18645

At the moment its still at its infancy. There is still no clear picture on how this coin will progress but a lot of interest has been shown by the community towards it. As of the moment it already has three very active mining pools going at it.
What about you? Do you find this coin interesting?

I know how you feel, too many alts out there. I'm just following SocialCoin and Steem now since I like the idea of #crypto and social media put together.
