Round-up

West Ham caused the shock of the weekend beating the Champions Chelsea 1-0 at home. An early goal by Marko Arnautovic gave new manager David Moyes his first win for the Hammers.

Tottenham bounced back from their recent dip in form with a comprehensive 5-1 win against Stoke. A late Olivier Giroud goal snatched a draw for Arsenal away to Southampton.

Despite dominating the game, Liverpool let an early lead slip as they were held 1-1 at home to Everton. A Wayne Rooney penalty snatched a point for the visitors.

Manchester City took a huge step towards the title with a 2-1 away to Manchester United in the derby. United are City’s closest rivals and this win opened up a eleven point gap at the top of the league. The rest of the league will have to go some to close the gap.
