Speaking of superstars exiting the competition, Cristino Ronaldo said his goodbyes to Russia as Portugal were knocked out by a brace from Edison Cavani.

Game 3: Spain v Russia - 1 - 1

Hosts Russia caused the shock of the round by knocking out Spain on penalties.

Game 4: Brazil v Mexico - 2 - 0

Goals from Neymar and Firmino saw Brazil safely through to the last 8 at the expense of Mexico.
