Barcelona vs Getafe

Suarez and Messi scored as Barcelona grabbed a 2-1 victory over over Getafe to move 5 points clear at the top of La Liga this season.
Getafe almost took the lead in the 9th minute but have the goal ruled out. Mata meeting a cross into the box and sending a fine volley into the net, but the referee blows his whistle after spotting a shove on Lenglet by Rodriguez. The goal is ruled out as a foul.
After the first scare, Barcelona get themselves in front by the 20 minute mark, with a wonderful goal from Messi. Messi speeding into the box and snatching a ball looking to fall for the Getafe defence, after his initial effort is blocked Messi still manages to get to the ball again and slots it in from a very thight angle. Wonderful work.
Barcelona almost double their lead with chances from Pique and Suarez, but the Getafe defence hold strong for the time being.
Barca eventually get a well deserved second goal in the 39th minute and it had looked like it was coming for a while.
Djene heads a free kick from Messi to the edge of the box, where Suarez is waiting and pounces on the ball with a superb volley into the corner. Wonderful control from the striker.
Getafe reduce the deficit in the 43rd minute. Rodriguez playing the ball across the goal for Mata who slots it into the empty net.
Barca are still in the lead by the second half.
Rodriguez misses a chance to put Getafe level, after his effort in the 49th minute beats the keeper but clips the outside of the post.
Jorge Molina misses Getafe's best chance by the 67th minute, after being completely put through and going round the keeper, but he fails to put the ball in the empty net and sends it wide. Big relief for Barca.
After a very interesting second half, Barca eventually claim their 2-1 victory over Getafe.
The win puts Barca 5 points clear at the top with 40 points. With second placed Athlético Madrid at 35 points and Barca's rivals Real Madrid 10 points behind, with 30 points at the fifth spot.
