Mohamed Salah scored two goals as Liverpool grabbed a thrilling victory over Crystal Palace, in a frantic match the ended with the final scoreline 4-3.
Liverpool put on the early pressure, but they come up against a strong Crystal Palace defence. Liverpool get a number of very good chances but they can't seem to find the net.
With all the dominance from Liverpool, Crystal Palace shockingly end up being the first to open the game. Punishing a wasteful Liverpool who many would feel should be in front. Zaha putting on Townsend to play the ball in the net from 12 yards.
Liverpool can't offer a response before the break and Palace happily go into the half time break with a 1 goal lead.
Liverpool however aren't out of it and they level things just at the start of the second half. Just 1 minute into the second half, Van Dijk takes a speculative strike from 35 yards and the ball takes a deflection off McCarthur, but Salah is in a good position to volley it into the net.
Firmino gives Liverpool the lead in the 53rd minute. Keita passing the ball to Firmino in the box, before he takes his shot. The ball ends up taking a wicked deflection off Kouyate before going in the bottom corner.
Crystal Palace don't take things lying down, and they level things in the 65th minute. After Palace won a corner, Milivojevic plays a wonderful delivery that is met with a simple bullet header from Tomkins.
Liverpool grab the lead once again in the 75th minute, after the keeper failed to properly deal with a ball from Milner. The keeper meets a cross from Milner but pushes it up towards his own net, with Salah rushing in to put the ball in from close range.
There was more drama to come as we saw two goals in the span of 2 minutes of injury time.
A Crystal Palace attack breaks down in the third minute of injury time and Liverpool goo quick on the counter, with Robertson feeding Mane the ball before he goes on to kill the game. Mane playing a calm finish into the far corner.
In a last gasp effort, Palace pull one back with Meyer finishing from 15 yards out.
With 30 seconds left on the clock, Palace try to level. Van Aanholt having a try from range but his effort goes well wide, and the final whistle is blown.
Liverpool came into the game needing a win to secure their top spot in the Premier League, and they now move 7 points clear of Manchester City after their win.
Crystal Palace showed good spirit and probably could have equalised if they had more time, but the game was taken away from them and they have to concentrate on the next one.
