Manchester City defeat Leicester City 3-1 on Penalties

Manchester City claimed their spot in the Carabao Cup semi finals, after a victory over Leicester City via a penalty shootout.
Manchester City were the first to find the net, following a brilliant strike from De Bruyne that sent the ball into the bottom left corner in the 14th minute. Manchester City kept the pressure on after their early goal, but Leicester weren't letting down either, with both sides struggling for dominance of the ball.
The first half ended with Manchester City having the only goal of the game. Leicester start the second half, going at Man City with intensity and claiming more possession of the ball early on. The 73rd minute of the game saw Leicester City finally get level. Albrighton received a ball from Ndidi and blasted it into the top left corner.
The game was to see no more goals during the 90 minutes, and both sides were level by the full time whistle. The game ended on moving onto penalties as there was no extra time.
Maguire scores the first PK and Leicester City take the lead. Gundogan responds likewise for Man City and levels things again. The next three penalties taken were below standard with none finding the back of the net. This giving Man City a chance to get ahead. Jesus slips, but manages to score and puts Man City one goal in front. Soyuncu failed to score the next one for Leicester, leaving City just one goal from victory. Zinchenko gives City the final goal and seals their victory.
After losing their initial lead in the second half, City managed to put Leicester behind and they move on the the semi finals of the Carabao Cup. They continue their journey with the hope of leaving as the winners of the competition and taking home the cup.
