Newcastle dragged themselves out of the relegation zone as they claimed a 3-0 victory over Cardiff City. As Fabian Schar scored his first and second goals for Newcastle.
Some poor Cardiff defending helped Fabian open the scoring in the 24th minute. After making a run from the right, the player buried a fine curled shot into he bottom corner of the net.
Both sides maintained the 1-0 scoreline for the rest of the match, until Fabian doubled Newcastle's lead in the 63rd minute. Matt Ritchie playing a fine corner, which Fabian converted for Newcastle's second goal.
Ayoze Perez went on to make the win more convincing in the third minute of injury time. Salomon Rondon playing a low cross in, which Perez finished off for Newcastle's third.
The victory was a boost for Newcastle, with them passing their opponents to claim the 17 position in the Premier League and moving out of the relegation zone.
