Advocaat confirmed as Fenerbahce boss 

Former Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat has been appointed boss of Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Advocaat quit as assistant to Netherlands coach Danny Blind on Monday, just three months after taking the role.

He resigned as coach of Sunderland in October having saved the club from relegation the season before, claiming he wanted to retire from football.

Barcelona eyeing Rondon

Barcelona are monitoring West Brom striker Salomon Rondon as they want back-up firepower in case any of their stars get injured.

The Spanish champions have a list with six options to strengthen their squad upfront where superstar trio Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar are first choice.

MirrorSport understands Venezuelan hitman Rondon is on it as his stock continues to grow with Albion’s players and staff worried the Spanish giants may now firm up their interest.
