3 Games To Watch This Weekend

Here are my 3 top games from this weekends English Premier League action

Manchester United vs Leicester City

The Champions, Leicester City, travel to Old Trafford this weekend in the early kick off on Saturday. United appear to be in disarray after their back to back premier league defeats to arch rivals Manchester City and then Watford. Mourinho looks set to continue with the much maligned Wayne Rooney when many are calling for him to be dropped. £89 million signing Paul Pogba has yet to live up to his price tag although you can usually count on Zlatan Ibrahimovic bringing his much needed quality to the side.

Last season Leicester won the Championship with only three defeats. They've already lost twice this term as teams have adapted to their play and perhaps Leicester haven't quite yet recovered from their hangovers. Who can blame them?

Prediction: 2-1 United.

Arsenal vs Chelsea

These are the games that make premier league weekends so exciting. Two of the big boys that will both be challenging for the title face off at the Emirates. Arsenal can make it four wins in a row, while Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last weekend. This game also marks Arsene Wenger's 20th year as manager of Arsenal. Arsene has been under threat in recent years because of Arsenal's inability to challenge for the title and their apparent lack of spending, although over the past three seasons Arsenal have spent over £200m on players.

Chelsea have a great recent record against Arsenal. In fact Arsenal haven't scored in the last six games against their London rivals.

Prediction: 1-1

Stoke City vs West Brom

This game is a bit out of left field. There is a joke in the premier league about the true test of a team is if they can perform on a wet Tuesday at Stoke, given Stoke's resolute defending and tough tackling. That hasn't been the case this season so far. Stoke have been conceding goals at a shockingly high rate. In fact, out of their first five games, Stoke have conceded four goals in three of them and sit bottom of the table.

West Brom have also looked pretty lack luster, however, their last game saw them score four goals against West Ham in a 4-2 win. The result of this game could also see the first managerial departure of the season with both Mark Hughes, manager of Stoke, and Tony Pulis under pressure.

Prediction: 2-2
