Bayern without a doubt
Bayern faced Hoffenheim on Saturday in Bundesliga. After Bayern were down 0-2 very early through goals by Uth and Gnabry, they managed to turn the match around and won clearly with 5-2. Lewandowski and Boateng scored in the first half to equalize it, it the second half Coman, Vidal and Wagner made it to the final result. Bayern have 50 points already and will clearly win this campaign - just as well as the last five.
Leipzig ties with Hamburg
While Bayern keeps leaving behind every team they face, Leipzig couldn't manage to win today. They played Hamburg who just released their coach Markus Gisdol after the loss against - last of the table - Cologne. Bernd Hollerbach is the new face in Hamburg. He was the assistant of Felix Magath when he was in Hamburg years ago and managed to lead Würzburg from the 4th to the second German division in only two years.
After taking the lead very early through a goal by Bruma in the 9th minute, Leipzig couldn't keep up with the good first minutes. Hamburg defended very decent and managed to break through in the 29th minute, where Kostic made it 1-1. Leipzig was unable to take the lead again and only take one point out of this matchday, much to the unhappiness of coach Ralph Hasenhüttl.
Dortmund can't win again
Also with the new coach Peter Stöger Dortmund can't overcome their recent crisis. After two unnecessary draws against Wolfsburg and Berlin, they didn't win their home fixture against Freiburg either.
They had a good start to the game which Kagawa scoring the 1-0 after 9 minutes. But only ten minutes later Freiburg made the equalizer through Petersen with the first attempt to the goal of Dortmund. But they definitely earned the result later on with a very good defense, Dortmund really had no idea how to overcome the Freiburg defenders. After a good hour Petersen showed his cleverness again when he took advantage of a harsh mistake in Dortmunds defense, giving Freiburg the lead. Only in the nick of time Dortmund made it 2-2.
Toljans Goal in the second minute of the additional time saves Dortmund at least one point, but this surely can't be what Borussia is claiming for.
Schalke beats Stuttgart, Cologne gets another point
In the other both games, Stuttgart took a loss at home against Schalke who made it 0-2 early through Naldo and Harit. With that, Schalke could follow up Frankfurt, who won yesterday, and now they are back on the second place in the table.
Cologne played 1-1 against Augsburg. The remain last of the table but now they are only three points behind Hamburg and Bremen which means that they still have all opportunities to remain in the Bundesliga after 34 games.
Upcoming match-ups
Later, Werder Bremen faces Hertha Berlin. While Hertha are caught in the midfield of the table, Bremen desperately needs a win in order to get out of the danger zone as quick as possible.
Tomorrow Leverkusen will face Mainz and Hannover plays Wolfsburg.
