Thoughts on competition and rivalry

in soccer •  6 years ago

Today I woke up early because I had to go for my monthly orthodontist appointment to see my progress and change the plastic rubs. For some reason the doctor asked me if I was going to watch the Boca juniors vs Rivera Platero match that was going to be played 2 pm my time.

I was truly excited for this game as I really like soccer and this kind of game is usually a great game to watch. Tonight my favorite team Saprissa will play against Heredia. I love soccer and I would even watch the rivals match ( hoping for their loss). Anyway I cannot really understand how the rival fans throw rocks and gas that affect their eyes.

I cannot believe that FIFA and CONMEBOL are forcing that the match is played even though there are injured players affected from the attack of the fans.
It is ok to compete and also to have rivals, in fact that is also a great way to improve and overtime improve. Rivals not enemies, as no matter if you are in the loosing or winning side you shouldn't think to hurt someone that is just working and doing what you are. They have family and loved ones and no one really needs to hurt and be a bad player to just feel good and win things.
