According to reports, Chelsia is open to talks for landing the potential attacking player in their squad, and they are hoping to recruit young forward Luca Waldschmidt from Freiburg, this summer transfer window.
The Sun claims the Germany International has performed great in the last season of Bundesliga, as well as at Germany’s youth level, with Frank Lampard keeping a keen eye on the 23-year-old.
The report further says that Chelsea is all ready to open talks about landing the young talent Waldschmidt for about 20 million pounds. Frank is desperate to add some of the power to his forward unit, as Michy Barshuayi and Olivier Giroud are set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Lampard is working hard here and wants to make sure that the Blues are back in claiming titles, but that could lead toward some of the significant changes in his squad; for now, the striking department of the teams seems to demand some adjustments.
The bosses of Chelsea are expecting to hand a large sum of transfer fee to the head coach so that they could bring in some of the finest players from other clubs, and it seems that Luca could be a bargain addition to the team.
Freiburg has signed the youngster for 5 million euros from the Hamburg, in 2018’s summer deal, and so far, Waldschmidt has represented Freiburg for 48 times, in which he netted 15 balls. You can also read the career life of Edgar Prib from Hannover 96 here.
