The final season of Copa del Rey will be held at the Wanda Metropolitano in Athletico Madrid. The Spanish Football Federation confirmed this information. Barcelona and Sevilla will face this year's final on April 21.
The 68,000-capacity stadium has started its journey as Athletico's home ground this season. At the time of the Copa del Rey final against La Liga, the athletico's home match will be delayed. Already the match between Barcelona home match against Chelsea and Sevilla v Real Madrid will be held on May 9.
Real Madrid did not have the option of the Spanish football federation, without the Athletico's field, because their 81,000-odd retainers did not agree to organize a final match at the Santiago Bernabeu. In the last three seasons, the Copa del Rey title has been won in Barcelona's home. This is the fifth time they are playing in the final.
Note that the final match of the Champions League final season will be held in Wanda Metropolitano.
