Socializing Cryptos

in social-media •  8 years ago

Hello all, my name is Alec and I am a consultant in the fintech space based out of the United States.

There are those that said Facebook and Twitter would be forever. Not so fast, says SteemIt. We are all witnesses to the beginning of the end of traditional social media. Here are my initial thoughts on SteemIt.

  1. Monitization of Personal Property | For more than a decade, individuals have forfeited their ownership of photos, posts, videos to the corporations in Silicon Valley. Now, people will maintain a financial stake in what is posted to the web.
  2. Cost of Liking / Commenting | The real financial cost of recommending or liking a post will disincentivise individuals from mindlessly liking or, reciprocally, trolling postings. The community will control the quality of what is seen at the top of the feed. Think Reddit but with a quality control.
  3. Financial Rewards for Quality Posts | The owners of quality material will reap the benefits of others likes. Spam and fake news can be cleansed from the system based on the power of the masses.

I will continue to share my thoughts as the system evolves. For now, thanks for reading!
