Mindless Scrolling Matrix

Matrix Perpetuating Mindless Scrolling: Scrolling down through facebook, out of 100 posts well over 70% are advertisements and suggestions (things that facebook thinks that I may like or things they want me to like), with the bulk of the remainder being pages and groups that I actually like and follow, and finally less than 10% are actual family and friends. As I scroll past dozens of posts to find a friend or family, facebook is feeding me what it wants me to see. I don't get on facebook often, but when I do, I am not likely to see actual people's posts and I know that very few actual people will see mine. So when I do post, I am voluntarily feeding the beast intelligence about my life with little expectation that my family will even see it. Additionally, I will most likely NOT see posts made by family and friends, unless I intentionally navigate to their profile.
