Humility is Power

Humility is not for the faint-hearted. It is for those who are willing to let go of their self-centredness and acknowledge that others are also worthy of time and attention.

A person who lacks humility comes across as obnoxious because they appear to be full of themselves, no matter how subtle their self-centredness.

Look around you, and you will find plenty of people who consider themselves to be their own centres of gravity. All they can think about is themselves. Now look at yourself. Use a mirror if required. What about you? Are you humble?

Being humble does not mean you need to grovel at the feet of those around you. It only means you understate your own awesomeness and allow others to figure it out in their own time. It requires you to acknowledge in your own mind that you are a part of the human experience and not the "be it and end all" of everything.

Never forget this: Only insecure people go out of their way to look pleasing, agreeable, knowledgeable, and posh in front of others. Humble people are subtle and classy. They never feel the need to blow own trumpets. They don't live for the validation of others. They are self-powered individuals comfortable in their own skins who validate others. They are aware of their limitations and come to terms with them. They contribute to making the world a better place in their own humble ways.

You deserve to be the best. You deserve to be humble.
