Yes it's very possible to teach kids ethics. Many people don't know this but adults most of the time behave like their parents. When we face a challenge we unwittingly try to solve it the way we've seen someone else do it. And 7 out of ten times, we do it like our parents. This is because as children we know nothing. We come into the world with nothing but the instincts that tell us we are supposed to suck teats for food and to cry when hungry. Everything else we learn on the way. And we learn it by watching others. That's how we learn to walk and that's how we learn to speak. Even with things that don't seem important at the time, we still learn and eventually, put into practice.
So if you want your kid to be ethical when he or she grows up, you have to start teaching him ethics really early. And not just that, you have to practice said ethics at every turn. So your child will see you doing it and will try to emulate you. There's a saying that if you teach something to a person in the days of his youth, when he grows into a man he will not depart from those teachings. It applies to everyone everywhere. Violent people can trace their problem back to a parent or sibling who was violent towards them. Hardworking people have someone they knew who was hard working. It applies to all fields so as far as ethics go, I see no reason why it should be any different. Teach your kids ethics but more importantly, be ethical so they can see and copy you. And when they're all grown I assure you, it will be ingrained into the very fibre of their being
