Social media facebook instagram snapchat twitter etc. what are you thoughts about kids having them?

I don't think children or even teens should have a Facebook page. People only post all the accomplishments that they have made, never telling any failures they may have encountered. This can leave our youth feeling worthless and discouraged. The formative years of a child is a time of growing and a time gaining self worth. Most parents aren't aware of just how the social media platforms can affect vulnerable young lives.

You have made some very valid points and I couldn't agree with you more! I finally came to the place in my life where I had to get off Facebook. That was almost a year and a half ago and I've never looked back.

i think there is nothing for a child on there. i think its dangerous to those who are a little immature, i feel like bad things could happen from bulying to the person talking to someone they shouldnt. IF they insist on having it then it should be monitored.

what age are you thinking of?

i just do not think any of them are good. I have been on pretty much all of them and i find them as time wasting very non educational.
