Well, it ain’t nothing compared to what existed on Mig33!MySpaceI have no idea. Apparently it was big, and Tom hardy was on it.Whatsapp and ViberAm I just old, or are the only people using whatsapp are your boss (when he needs you to do something on a Friday), office colleagues (when they want to bad-mouth the boss for making y’all work on a Friday), or friends who aren’t lovers but yet flirt with you and stalk you (so basically, creepy friends). As for Viber, only your dad uses it to send you embarrassing photos of your childhood. #AmIRight? #OrAmIJustOld?
Honorable MentionsThere were other platforms for “young people” to connect on, such as MSN/Yahoo messenger (oldies, but once highly preferred), Orkut (for those of us slumming it in Indian boarding schools), Hi5 (to creepily stalk photos of crushes), AOL messenger (for NRBs settled in America but trying to keep the long-distance flame going strong), etc, etc. There was Skype for those of us who needed AV stimulation to flirt, or, as millennials would put it, #connect
