It's a lot of potential consumers to reach.
Your followers not only influence the decisions of those who want to decide whether to follow you, but if you have strong enough followers to make your efforts rewarding, social media influencers And may be willing to work with other companies.
Curating a large number of followers can benefit you and your business beyond the limits of a particular social media platform. In fact, social sharing sites help improve search engine optimization and direct traffic directly to your website.
These tips are not listed in any particular order. They're all important, but you may find that certain methods make more sense to your brand or business model.
1 - Build A Strong Brand Identity
Whether it's a certified business or a personal brand, you should still have a cohesive brand identity. It's more than just putting a logo on your profile picture and calling it a tag.
Your brand identity must shine through every post. Determine the main color scheme, filters, graphic design, tones, etc. Everything you post and comment on should reflect the voice of your brand. People are attracted to brands that have an identity.
Take the splat hair dye as an example. It's no wonder that bright and vibrant colors are an important part of the brand, as the brand is all about color.
The unicorn and rainbow emojis in her biography quickly tell us that she has a funny, whimsical voice.
And while they rely primarily on user-generated content (which we'll talk about soon), the images on Instagram pages still feel the overall branding and cohesiveness.
They also have a direct link to the main website of their biography and are creating their own hashtags to facilitate engagement (another spot will be visited soon).
What is your brand's voice?
Is it fun and colorful with bright and casual tones? Or is the calm color scheme more serious?
Once you've made these basic marketing decisions, you can start building a brand that people will recognize.
2 - Follow Relevant Accounts
Like any healthy relationship, you need a give and take. In other words, you can get followers by becoming followers yourself.
This does not mean that people who like your account will follow you immediately. Think of it as networking.
Who publishes great content that inspires you? Who can be an influential brand ambassador to work with later?
Some ideas for finding related accounts to follow:
Groups and Communities: Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, and other networks make it easy to find and join groups. It's a great tool for coming up with content ideas and finding new accounts to follow, but posting to these groups is also a great way to get your brand known.
See who influencers are following: Pay particular attention to influencers who have a positive follow-to-follow ratio. In other words, I have a lot of followers, but I am careful about the people I follow. The people they follow are likely to be quality people.
-Great People to Follow Lists: These lists are posted online about different industries and areas of interest. Although they can be great resources, they are not always carefully curated, so be careful and scrutinize these potential influencers before following. (Example: Top SEO experts to follow)

The same principle applies to social media.
Instead of treating the social media platform as a non-stop advertising campaign, invite connections and conversations. Reply to comments on the post to start the actual discussion.

It's important to strike a balance between posting frequently enough to maintain relevance and not posting annoyingly spamming news feeds.
In addition to planning your social media calendar, consider investing in tools that allow you to schedule posts in advance. If possible, in a single dashboard so you don't have to worry about forgetting to post on time.
6 - Cross-Market Across Your Other Social And Marketing Platforms
Do you take every opportunity to connect your audience? At a minimum, your website and newsletter should include a link to your social platform.

Hashtags are a great way for new followers to discover you, but try to focus on specific hashtags rather than common hashtags that are too competitive.
For example, # love is associated with over 2 billion photos on Instagram. Your post will be buried soon.
Make sure your hashtags are more targeted and actually work in your favor. You can search for hashtags used in related posts, or try tools such as Hashtagify to find analytics data and alternatives.
In this example, adding another word to "love" to make it more specific (# lovegardening) makes the targeted hashtag much more executable.
You can also create your own brand hashtag to encourage your followers to share your photos, as Splat did with # splatsquad. This is a great way to capture user-created content.
8 - Build Partnership Campaigns With Companies And Brand Advocates
Collaborative content campaigns between non-competitive companies can get great attention.
And what's the best part? They have the potential to take advantage of a brand new audience. In an ideal partnership, both brands can benefit from each other, each gaining new followers and gaining overall exposure from each other.
Influencers and brand ambassadors are another big opportunity. User-created content, especially in partnership with prominent influencers, can generate high engagement. Contests, sweepstakes and affiliate flash sales are also popular.

Understanding the performance of your content can help you make better strategic decisions.
This may include the types of posts that most resonate with your current audience, the most viewed times, and the main demographics you reach.
