A system that is, at once, ruining the climate with its global success while simultaneously failing populations of color with its racist exploitation.
On one hand, capitalism is poised to further destroy our global climate to the tune of an estimated 300,000,000 AC units predicted for India alone over the next decade. Not to mention the carbon footprint from prospective AC units it'll introduce to the rest of the developing world. Inevitably, the market will kill us all with appliance emissions born of profiteering greed and global markets.
On the other hand, capitalism has always failed brown people the world over and there's no reason to assume the so-called "free market" will change course now. Capitalism failed India's sweltering population and many others that lack America's access to comforts like AC and refrigeration. All because it's a system motivated by greed instead of equity. Capitalism will invariably continue to fail India's population in desperate need of cooling as global temperatures rise.
Basically, if capitalism DOES bring AC and refrigeration to India, it's an evil, profiteering system we should blame for sabotaging our climate. If it DOESN'T bring AC and refrigeration to India, it's an evil, profiteering system that always fails brown people because its racist roots go all the way back to slavery.
Either that, or Socialists are simply poised to hate capitalism regardless.
