The point rather is that to get anything like PS5 under socialism someone on a planning board has to describe and argue for it. Under a free economy someone has to believe in it enough to make it, try to market it, and that is how you know of it.
Socialists would agree with Adam Smith that heaven in its anger visits the poor man's son with ambition to be rich, then at the end of a life of trinkets and riches realizes it has brought no enduring source of satisfaction. But this was an observation not a rescue plan.
