Fate of All Social Media

The fate of all social media platforms seem to follow some similar trends over the years.

Almost every social media platform repeat a similar pattern:

1- Platform launches, 2- Seed members join, 3- Members get their friends to join, 4- User generated content kicks in, 5- Ads (officially) come in, 6- Spammers send out links, 7- Platform tweats algorithms to combat spamming, 8- Spammers get clever. 9. Repeat 6, 7 and 8.

There seems to have no exception. Have you seen any exception?
