When was the last time you let someone in?
Inside your anxious thoughts
Inside your work-related stresses?
Inside the place, you keep the not so joyful feelings?
Well, I know... Being vulnerable is not exactly something most of us like to show around, especially in the context of relationships and workplaces. Most people, including myself, try to hide their vulnerabilities at all costs.
BUT
Vulnerability is a powerful tool in an emotionally intelligent leader’s toolkit.
Hear me out, because this is important. And when I realized it and began acting on it, magic happened! When you open the door to understanding vulnerability you are taking the first step towards ownership of your emotions and creating environments for growth and learning.
So save the below somewhere & read them again when you'll need to.. and I hope they help you as much as they helped me!
Offer your help.
Genuine connections are formed when you are open about your experiences.
Big shiny armor off
Vulnerability fuels the strongest relationships and can transform performance to help bring more success to an organization.
Shift to a vulnerable mindset!
Start to see the aspirations of the business through the eyes of the people you lead.
Leave your ego behind
The most impactful moment a leader can provide is to be. Just sit and listen.
So, what's it going to be?
Are you willing to be more vulnerable?
Are you afraid of what you might accomplish?
