The events in question were a violent riots at a Trump campaign rally in San Jose, CA in June 2016. What is quite telling is how this event was clearly indicative of a trend that one gets to see throughout a myriad of other events where one side (Antifa, BLM, BAMN) resorts to violence yet gets a pass from the left and the left-leaning media on account of being victimized previously or being subjected to counter opinions, such as those of their political opponents on the right. Said opinions themselves constitute violence as they are labeled "hate speech" - and that is used to present the violence coming from the left as justifiable reaction.
