AFTEERWARD
In life afterward dropping swords what next?
What next after flowing words of disgusting pretext what next?
When you are facing the trauma of violation of trust,
When your hopes are reduced to nothing trampled in the dust
I mean when you are facing betrayal,
When abandonment you feel is the perfect judgement after the trial,
When you feel so offensive then your guilt so impassive;
You really wonder how long it takes to meant a broken heart,
Because, as far as you’re concern, you believe you’ve played your own part.
You try to pick yourself up and start moving on again.
But you can’t; there you lie in agony of pain,
Spirit slain,
Then afterward, what next?
Racing from that trance,
You believe you own the tune to which your heart ought to dance.
You try, cause you are tired fucking up big time.
You cry, yet you’re condemned with no crime.
You wonna close this book,
Yet with strong desires you wonna take a look.
Many fail to understand you really wonna move on.
If any could realize you are trapped, stuck in a movie undone.
They feel it’s complete when you alone understand your life is a tale yet to be written.
Here no challenge just defeats;
Because your strength has been stolen.
And afterward, what next?
Fall a thousand times yet find a way to rise;
That’s a mystery yet to be unfolded.
When judge for no crime, rewarded with no price,
You feel mocked, you’re struck,
Really wonder if ever the sun will appear and melt these snows that embrace you with cold.
But no you’re forever trapped in there.
You wonna come out of it,
Really come out of it,
But how can you dare,
When your soul wears the crown of fear?
And your heart forever dances to this bitter melody,
So pathetic I call melancholy.
Keeping wondering afterward what next?
After the pain what next?
After the struggles what next?
After the rain what next?
After the battles what next?
After the tears what next?
After the shame what next?
After the fears what next?
When consumed by angry flames what next?
If at all there is something left,
Then tell me,
Afterward,
After this,
What next.
