This solar power plant makes India the largest producer of energy in the world it is assumed that this solar power plant will produce 2,000 MW of energy. It was the world's largest power plant project in Karnataka on March 2, 2018. It is also making energy from renewable sources.

In this country like India, this project plays an important role in creating new opportunities. The Karnataka Government spends 16,500 crores for this solar power plant. This project was started by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Pavagada in Tumkuru district of Karnataka.

This project has been named as 'Soul place'. This project covers 13000 acres of land and spreads in 5 villages. This energy minister DK Shivakumar has said that this project will create jobs for the people of the employment and people of Karnataka.
