SOLAR STEEM : looking for Solar PV engineers & installers on Steem

in solarsteem •  3 years ago  (edited)

Solar Photovoltaics are the reason I came to Steem.

The story behind that is not though what this post is about. You will find that story somewhere way back in one of my old posts if you are interested.

The key point though is that I am very keen on solar PV and I am keen to see it used as widely as possible.

I am therefore looking for ways to encourage the use of solar photovoltaics for electricity generation through projects on Steem.

Looking for Solar PV people

To help me with these projects I am looking for Steemians around the world with experience with solar PV.

I am looking for...

  • Electrical Engineers

  • Electricians

  • Solar PV installers

and also...

  • Sellers of solar PV equipment (panels, charge controllers, batteries etc).

If you are any of these, or you know of any people with these skills, please leave a comment below.

Also if you are a student studying in any related areas I would be interested to hear from you.

I am looking for people in all countries around the world.

Thank you

Pennsif

Thank you

My father is an electrician trained in installing solar panels. Poland. I talked with him and he is ready to help if needed.

Like a million years of experience 😁

Very useful to know, thank you.

Are there are any Steemians active in Poland at the moment?

I know two Poles: @browery and @crypto.piotr - crypto.piotr does not live in the country any more, like me, but as he is one of the old users he may know more Polish Steemians.

I think in European Union solar panels are already very common and very cheap thanks to the government subsidies. It's quite close to Ukraine though and some more job could probably be done there.

There is much more Ukrainians than Poles on Steemit (check Steemit BRU).

Is there much solar PV in Argentina now?

Yes and no.

Yes, as in Latin America in general there are plenty of places where solar PV is the only way to have the electricity. The continent is huge, if there are some single estancias in the middle of nothing, solar energy is cheaper than connecting to the conventional installation. In the mountains some small towns don't have the conventional installation so all the houses are with solar PV.

In the big cities like Rosario, Córdoba or Buenos Aires I didn't see even a single building with solar PV. As 92% of the Argentinians live in the cities, majority don't have the solar panels.

I guess in LATAM the best eco installations are in Uruguay, then Chile, then as the third Argentina.

With countries like Venezuela suffering many power cuts, solar PV with batteries would be very useful.

Is the electricity supply in Argentina very reliable or do you get many power cuts as well?

There are some short power cuts, which I would compare to the situation in Poland in early 90's and, I assume, maybe UK in 80's, but there is not many of them. Like four -five times in a year, each time few hours in Rosario. I know in some regions like Missiones the problem is a bit bigger but never even close to the situation in Venezuela.

Of course Venezuela, Cuba and Haiti are the poorest countries in the region and currently one of the poorest in the world, so you should definitely consider Venezuela, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh as the priority. The cost of installation in Venezuela will be significantly higher though - all the products has to be imported, taxes are huge, sometimes bribes are inevitable, transporting expensive things by roads is risky. There may be problem with finding the batteries which will help to store solar energy and which can be changed sometimes. You would have to find the solution for that as well.

Argentina at least is talking about some green solutions. Maduro won't even think about it so green transformation in countries like Venezuela desperately need some outside stimulation. Every investment in non democratic countries is more difficult though.

I am hoping to connect with some people with solar PV knowledge in Venezuela - but not found anyone yet.

Saludos Cordiales

Thank you for your interest.

Do many houses have solar PV in Venezuela yet?

Thank you for this useful information.

Amigo estuve recordando y en las grandes ciudades, hay faros de luz que son administrados por energía solar, así que eso significa que aquí en Venezuela si hay una empresa que venda eso.

That is useful to know.

Thank you for reaching out. I have been looking for such opportunities to express myself @pennif

I really like the science of Surya system, hopefully the Solar System content can also be applied at steemit, seucses continues sir @pennsif greetings @emirzafirdaus From Aceh, Indonesia I enjoy to see you in Steemit, sir @pennsif thank you

Amigo me encanta tu formas en cuidar al planeta eres único sigue así ñ, Ami tambien me gusta cuidar el planeta

This project is very interesting and innovative, and just look at its publication when the light had just come out. The situation in Venezuela is getting worse and worse, and even more in towns or places far from the city.

As papi.mati has said before, the costs of importing equipment can be high, but it is possible that these equipment can be obtained within Venezuela.

I will assist in your quest to find expert Electricians to assist with your project and consult with them.

Thanks!

Thank you for responding.

It would be good to find some companies in Venezuela that supply solar PV equipment and ideally get them to join Steem.

If we could buy solar PV equipment with STEEM that would be great.

Wow i have been looking for such opportunities in steem. I am a Bachelor of technology holder in Renewable Energy from Cameroon. I have a background airconditioning and Refrigeration.
Mostly for now do local and industrial solar installations when ever any cames up. Im looking forward to working with you sir!
Will be honored if you reply..
