23 Days: no solid food, no "protein", just liquids...

Thoughts

I write this at the end of day 23 of my solid food vacation. Most of my eliminations (in the toilet) have been liquid filth with stool that looks more like little sedimentary rocks. The kind you would find at the bottom of the river. One day they were quite green, an unbelievable green. Like play dough. This is most likely from the juices.

I noticed that when I drink vegetable juices, this is much like taking an enema; however, the "water" does not enter through my rectum, but instead, the water first goes through my food tube. My throat :)

On the other hand, when I have fruit juices, I am filled with energy. Also, my eliminations are typically only urinary. I find this to be interesting that the juiced herbs and vegetables are an item that my body wants to eliminate through a watery elimination exiting the colon, yet the fruit juice eliminations go straight to my blood and are eliminated by the kidneys.

Last year's juice fast

Compared to last year's juice fast, I am physically much stronger. Last year I started a juice fast on September 1st, weighing 144.4 lbs. If you're wondering, I use the Withings digital scale. That app automatically stores and records my weight and BMI (body mass index), so I am able to look back in time and see my weight.

Anyways, that was my first 60-day juice fast. I started at 144.4 lbs and got down to about 114 lbs after 15 days of transitional re-feeding--this "re-feeding" is so that you can comfortably eat solid foods again. I lost about 30 lbs, and I was pretty weak, physically.

Physical Progress

Now, I can almost do a hand stand. Head stands are super easy now, and I can do them fluidly, slowly, and with great confidence.

As for my exercise routine, it is basically the same: about 5 minutes of exercise every 2-3 days. Instead of doing 1 or 2 types of push-ups, I'll do all of the different types of push-ups that I like to do, totaling about 64 push-ups. I also do planks longer, which is more than 1 minute and sometimes 2 minutes.

I started this fast at 130 lbs, and I am now down to 115 lbs. Clearly I am not losing muscle.

The last ~4 days of fasting...

I am definitely still eliminating old, ancient fecal matter. Lately I've drank a lot of juices based on parsley, lemon, and ginger, and this has helped. Today I had a drink made popular by Lou Corona and Dan McDonald called the "Lemon Ginger Blast". I forgot to add the ginger, so you can just call this the "Lemon Blast", and yes...there was a blast later. Someone turned up the heat in my guts @.@

Lemon Ginger Blast -- minus the ginger...

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 bunch of dandelion leaves
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 habanero pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 granny smith apples

And here's more pictures of me being happy, lively, and enjoying the process :)

excellent post, greetings 🙌

thank yeww

heya Roger! I just noticed you're in Venezuela...where in Venezuela are you living? That's awesome that you will bring STEEM awareness to there!! :)

Awesome experiment you did there Robert! I admire people who dare to test their limits. I have made great progress using fasting methods myself. So I'm always happy to see someone who's not afraid to take the not-so-common path. And I'm even happier to see them succeed. Great job, and thank you for sharing!

Thank you for the thoughtful comment! :) This isn't even a challenge; however, I do know that it will help others see that it's possible, and hopefully inspire them to give this a try for their health and spirituality!!! :) what sort of fasts have you done? I'm looking forward to extended dry fasts coming up...!

I've been following the 16/8 protocol for the last four years. Which means, fasting for 16 hours, followed by two big meals in an 8 hour eating window. Since April this year, I've been been doing 20+ hour daily fasts, having only one giant meal in late evening. And it's been an amazing journey so far. Keep us updated with the dry fasts!

NICE!! I love that stuff :) I loved when I would dry fast every Saturday for at least 24 hours. I never consciously did one meal a day...usually just 2 meals. For how long did you do 1 meal a day?

Since April this year, still doing it :)

sweeeet :) congrats!

keep it up ! Nice post !

thankzz

You're welcome !
