My 5 Solutions for Steemit Inc. to make Steemit.com an asset and stop being a liability for the company!

in solutions •  6 years ago  (edited)

Proof Of Brain is talked about a lot, so here are some great solutions to plug the holes in the steemit.com bucket of liabilities and turn them into assets instead.

solutions-website.jpg

Restructuring the entire company @ned built will be expensive, and probably not needed if we just accept 3 little solutions that will bring liquidity into @Steemit Inc from Steemit.com.

1 - Sell private access to stable RPC full nodes between 30 renters per box for 2X the full cost of the node or $69.95 per month for the users/businesses that use them, and This will provide STEEMI INC income on nodes they already have, and when filling up they will break even and go into positive costs were the node-business pays for the need of STEEMIT.com and much more.

2- For a while, Enable the beneficiary rewards at 1-3% for users of STEEMIT.COM the website, which would be between 411,000 SteemUnits and 1,2 Million SteemUnits per year and declining with lower inflation. 1-3% is OK but more than that would be too greedy.

3- Sell 1-ONE ad at top of steemit.com page for $20,000 or more per 24h period, you have time to do homework on this but an additional $7,3 Million a year to STEEMIT INC. or more. This is great liquidity paid in Dollars and will be very helpful no matter the price of STEEM or SBD.

#4- Sell Claimed Accounts and charge in CC/Paypal/DC/ in order to establish an account. Should cost $29.95 with a complete track and trace so there is proof of KYC and AML in the process.
That is a nice price for someone who has money, and we do want more people joining us that has money versus the broke people of the world who cannot even sustain themselves, and we cannot sustain them on the blockchain.

That is $30 Million extra money when Steemit INC has sold 1 million more accounts

#5 - Delegate your SteemPower between @Booster and other bots for liquid earnings every day, which will be profitable in the future as long as you delegate. @Booster share 100% of all Liquid Income with its delegators, has the most customers, best reputation and almost 2 years in service. Now better than ever. All you need to do is delegate SteemPower smf, and everything is automatic from there.

As you can see @Ned, there are many ways to make Steemit.com super profitable, I am just shining a light on these solutions for you in order to help you and your company. We are in the same boat, let's make this Regatta memorable in the best way possible!

DB Rocks! Steem On!

Steemit as a company has to make money if they are to be around longer than when all their stake is gone. They need revenue. Ads? maybe, 1-3% beneficiary actually seems pretty reasonable given the infrastructure they host.

There are likely other ways to make and save money, but the long term strategy shouldn't just be make steem moon. It should be a revenue generating business.

@aggroed I added a #4 to the OP.

That is $30 Million extra money when Steemit INC has sold 1 million more accounts.

That also seem very doable, and would make sense to activate that old referral function again since making accounts become profitable like anonsteem and others are already doing. Steemit Inc, as you said needs to make money just like the rest of us.

agreed and that is what people seem to be scared to say is that onboarding with the gates open to have just a mass of users does not work. QUALITY over quantity! When it was giving x amount to anyone there was so much scamming on accounts was awful , then you had organized waves come and offer basically nothing back to the plaform and see it just as a gravy train. Almost everything in life that has a R.O.I is pay to play and that include games, right @Aggroed? (that number 4 should reallllly speak to all the people invested in your successful game who are paying to play, now getting the mindset of stinc to change is a diff story) If the big kahunas like you all can push this and steward it then people won't be so pissed imho. This is the real world and not Unicorn Kumbaya world and no matter how well one can play guitar and look cute that isn't running a business. js, thanks for offering some logistical strategies

Shouldn't the daily ad for steemit be done in an auction style? Highest bid gets their ads displayed. If the traffic is big enough the revenue could be greater than $20,000, and it's guaranteed cash regardless.

The stream of revenue will allow other things to flow at a rapid pace. Fundamentals.

Exactly right!

What if Steemit could use their vested stake (45 mil more or less) and upvote regular users the same way @busy does?

Wouldn’t that be a win - win for everyone?

Just saying...don’t really know if it would be a possible solution. But I’d like to know if someone knows.

Did you know when Regular Joe and Regular Jane get "too much money" they freak out, and a year or two down the line Regular Joe and Regular Jane split up, they have spent the money, have hardly any steempower and still begs for upvotes.

I will tell you how I know this. I run the oldest Investors Chat/Voice chat about STEEM called http://SteemSpeak.com - you and everyone else are very welcome to join.

We have had multiple AMAs for almost 3 years, all the big stakeholders are there, the top 19 witnesses the top 600 witnesses and extremely serious no-bullshit no-fud no-trollig moderation.

For example lying about shitcoins will get you banned for shilling fake news/scam news. As a financial channel we speak about any token the appear in Cryptoland, and we are a gang of a few thousand people were some of us will do real due diligence as everyone on my team understand how important quality is to me personally. I have worked with @contentjunkie, @inertia, @TheDegenSloth, @furion, @anyx, @good-karma and before steem you can add a a bunch more of developers and before crypto all together add three more developers working for me in the IP-TV Media Space pre-Tivo and Youtube. I got caught in the middle on that project as Tivo and Youtube exploded almost at the same time and we lost 70-100% of our subscribing paying users, there was no other way then to pay the bills and put delist the company from the registry.

You may stumble upon people who will point out about 4 times I almosy lost it, but when push comes to show it is always allegations from people who are envious about our Success, and of course hate it when I get back up on my feey, brush my suiy off and continue focus on what yields me money, what yields me propaganda/trouble and what yields me nothing but liabilities.

This is real talk and serious.
All I can say let’s make or do something for this business model to thrive and make steem relevant for the ones I mean it for the ones who will sacrifice something for the longevity of steem.
Hard to say steem has to come down to 30 cents for us to come down to a plan.
All steemians should come together for this.
Tough times requires tough measures.
This is a debacle I am willing to push.
Let’s not waste 2018.
Keep on postin

Well...see you in your channel.

I'm not sure how that helps STEEMIT inc make any money to become more solvent...

I think it was in combination of setting a 3% beneficiary to use Steemit.com. Cost you 3%, but you get an upvote...

Sounds beneficial to both parties.

agree:
3- Sell 1-ONE ad at top of steemit.com page for $20,000 or more per 24h period, you have time to do homework on this but an additional $7,3 Million a year to STEEMIT INC. or more. This is great liquidity paid in Dollars and will be very helpful no matter the price of STEEM or SBD.

add on:
auction this add space on a daily basis, meter the referring add revenue (klicks or views) for each single post and pay out in steem or SBD on a basis of 50/25/25 between authors, curators and the whole steemit community

Great ideas for Steemit.
That way we will ask more.
So leverage Steemit so more income may come in.
I get #3 easy
But one and two
Not sure 🤔 is it a pure business model?
Can all steemians do something
Or can all witnesses top 20 do something ?
Just trying to understand your thesis !

All front-ends like steemit.com, busy.org, dtube.io zappl.io can/should do the same thing. With small measures. 3% is extreme while less than 1% is reasonable 1,5% to is reasonable. We just need to capitalize and help others (like @ned in @steemit inc) to become a better capitalist. And make Steemit.com lead by example up and above.

Steem Rocks my DB

Resteemed !

Interesting thoughts on this topic @fyrstikken.

The beneficiaries idea seem to be the one that is most accepted. I've seen lots of people accepting ads but some don't want ads anywhere near Steemit. Here is a poll I conducted and you ca take a look at the results: https://steemit.com/dpoll/@vimukthi/steemit-inc-had-a-layoff-of-70-of-staff-due-to-lack-of-funds-how-should-they-raise-more-money

All great ideas 💡

I like your suggestions these are all good possibilities to generate income. My biggest concern is still @ned himself. Is he the right guy that we should trust to develop this Blockchain further? I think like in the free market there should be more competition on who is in control of the Core development. Ned didn't really had so much success the last two years and other buisness developers might have been better for this Blockchain. So just to make sure that we all don't depent on one person I would like to see a change in leadership but unfortunatly Steemit.inc doesn't make the core code public.

Actually some pretty doable ideas to be honest.

Good ideas, @fyrstikken!

This post is curious about a TON of Steem that's potentially unaccounted for. The post. Curious if you'd think this could be a huge source of capital in hiding...

Nice job being creative. Hopefully Ned is listening.

Simple and straightforward which is what they need to be considering in the short term in addition to reducing costs so it could help. In order to inventivize the community for number 3, I think a portion of that revenue should go back into the rewards pool for users though.

The post was about Steemit Inc. sacking 70% of staff, and 3 solutions to bring money into Steemit Inc over Steemit.com, users get rewarded enough as it is, some say too much.

#4 would be to start selling Accounts and charge in CC/Paypal/DC/ in order to establish an account. Should cost $29.95 with a complete track and trace so there is proof of KYC and AML in the process.

That is a nice price for someone who has money, and we do want more people joining us that has money versus the broke people of the world who cannot even sustain themselves, and we cannot sustain them on the blockchain.

That is $30 Million extra money when Steemit INC has sold 1 million more accounts. @ned @steemit

1-3% beneficiary reward seems the most logical step.

Excellent suggestions for @ned, @steemit and the @steem blockchain @fyrstikken!

I like that you are coming up with solutions rather than problems. I think the first one is brilliant to rent out the nodes and could be instant turnover.

I don't mind the benificiaries personally but I'm not sure is putting more steem into the hands of steem Inc is the solution as they already have a huge supply and selling more would only hurt the price. There is an over supply on the markets so powering up more into more accounts would be more beinficial as steem inc would get higher returns for the steem they already selling.

I think ad revenue should definitely be brought in even if it would be a lot less than 20k per day. With the amount of traffic on the site and the specialised nature of a lot of the content I would think that the numbers might be low for the moment. If we get more traffic and expand then it would increase with the growth.

I would like to see them utilise the community as an asset. We have a workforce of thousands here willing and able to do some work to grow the chain. If need layed out some simple and achievable targets for the next six months and what would be needed to achieve them then we as a community would find a way. He might have lost staff but he still has people.

My favorite idea out of this is #2, beneficiary rewards on our posts made on Steemit.

—-

I see nothing wrong with this option, it would be best if they gave us a choice as to whether or not we wanted to do it on each post. They can automatically set it to give 1-3%, but allow those that wish not to to turn that feature off if they need to. Most people will leave it on by default I’m sure. Others may be happy that it is easy to now support Steemit with their own content instead of donating or delegating steem power.

There of course is a severe importance to make the announcement that this change is occurring. Perhaps a banner across the top of the homepage/news feed.

I really do hope @ned will read this post and listen to you suggestion @fyrstikken. I feel big players in the scene like you should be at least consulted to point a direction.
My idea is that a business is profit first and foremost, then there's development/ethic/ideas/concepts and all that stuff.

but Business--->>PROFIT
