Song Challenge Day 24 - A Song by a Band You Wish Were Still Together

Wishing a band were still together is a tricky thing. Sometimes it's for the best that a band is not a band anymore. I can think of lots of examples of bands whose output got weaker as they went on. In these cases, it might have been better if the band broke up. In most cases I'd rather see a band flame out too early than limping along for years, clinging to scraps of their former glory.

That being said, I do think the White Stripes could have put out some more solid material if they stayed together longer. Icky Thump was as strong as any of their albums. Jack has continued to put out material in a variety of forms, but they are all fairly different than White Stripes, which I think is evidence that this band was not just a one man operation with a hired drummer. It was an actual band with two members who both contributed to their distinctive sound. I would have liked to see what else they could do.
