"Hey Joe" is a 1962 folk song (best known is the version sung by the band The Jimi Hendrix Experience) written by the American musician Billy Roberts (best known is the version sung by the band The Jimi Hendrix Experience). It has become a landmark of rock and as such has been performed in a multitude of musical genres by hundreds of different artists since it was written.
Naturally, Hey Joe was one of my teenage songs ... but I still had not looked at Hendrix playing the guitar with her teeth ... as in this video from Europe in 1967.
I hope to dedicate a post more worked with the history of this song.
