ソニーグループによると、生産が終了するのは、家庭の録画向けなどのブルーレイディスクや放送機器向けの「XDCAM」などの光ディスクらしいのですが今はもうネット配信とかで映画などを楽しむ人も増えているのでしょうがないと思うしブルーレイディスクはDVDと違ってちょっと傷ついただけでも完全に見られなくなったり保管方法も重要なので個人的には使ったことがないです。
