According to Zero Hedge, the magnate investor warned that such “unholy marriages”may give rise to a form of authoritarianism “the likes of which not even Aldous Huxley or George Orwell could have imagined.” Soros further stated that “But the fact that they are near-monopoly distributors makes them public utilities and should subject them to more stringent regulations, aimed at preserving competition, innovation, and fair and open universal access.”

George recognises that neither has any 'productive' purpose whatever. They serve uniquely to amass huge amounts of personal data to sell to advertisers and enrich very few while distracting billions and increasing the 'Attention Deficient Syndrome', personal insecurity from psychotic cyber bullying. While allowing global competing intelligence agencies to go on data mining orgies. Or wage propaganda / fake news wars and attacks on elections and candidates.
Then there is 'tech neck' which will leave BILLIONS crippled before they are thirty. Unable to work and support themselves or their families.
