SOUND FOR THE SOUL

I just discovered this new artist, Aurora. Listening to her music feels like I am being transported to a magical wonderland of fairies, angels, demons and extra terrestrials. Reminding me of a young Sia, Aurora is a Norwegian singer-songwriter who already has a huge catalog of experimental music by 20 years old and a number of videos that are art pieces in their own right. She began writing songs and melodies at 6 years old and Run with Wolves shared below was from her first works.

These are a couple of my favourite tracks one of which, is a cover of the huge Massive attack song, 'teardrop'.

This song, Winter Bird is described by Aurora as a song about the onset of technology taking away our capacity to feel emotions ..
"Sometimes I fear our technological progress will slowly take over. We meet people through texts and screens. Is it setting us free? Or are we slowly wrapping ourselves in, depending too much on it? the fall is bigger when our hopes are not realistic, not human. What has no heart can't give us love and true happiness."

Hope you like my discovery as much as I do :)

Oh yeah, i feel the same way. Very fairy-like. She has an otherwordly stage presence too. I had the pleasure of recording her in concert one time, during the South by Southwest music festival. Nice shares here!
