On this blog, I want to share with you what is the heart of my job. But by the way, what is my job?
I work in Paris-Normandy , but I'm not a journalist, I make guides, I'm responsible for a website , I designed and I operate databases , I touch big data ...
But no matter what I do, what's certain is that I like it. Not only am I interested, but I have fun at work. I have the impression of inventing each day, to make my own way, to find sources of information, data, figures, recover, transform, present, comment and enrich them so that EcoNormandie is indeed the reference database on Norman socio-economic actors.
Basically, I gathered what had not been thought to go together: you have to invent, search, find schemes, and I'm lucky, I did my job, and I'm trusted.
I have acquired a certain know-how, a good knowledge of the most reliable sources, an agility to juggle with numbers and data, an ability to handle files and data, as well as a real experience of database management and of their holdings. I propose a blog where I will talk about my sites of reference, will give some advices for the seizure and the update of information, will present my favorite sources. On occasion, I will reveal my tricks or my secrets, I will share some thoughts ripened in front of my screen.
