Day 37

Today we got up and checked out of our little chalet, we drove and had breakfast in a tiny little village called Pilgrim’s Rest. We ate in the Pilgrim’s Pantry, I had a cinnamon and sugar pancake and a ginger beer.

We stopped at a very lovely viewpoint and then drove on to Dullstroom.

We had planned to go to the Birds Of Prey Rehabilitation Centre but found that it is closed on Tuesday!

We had lunch at The Rose Garden, I had a spinach and feta pancake with cheese sauce and a lime milkshake – so yummy.

We had a little wander around some shops, there was a Christmas shop which we found a bit confusing.

The chocolate shop was the most exciting – chocolate shots! A little chocolate cup filled with melted chocolate – how much better could you get?!

We went and collected the keys to our room for the night – ‘Treelands Castle’. It was a huge house, with a hugely long drive, all for us. There were four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a huge living room, a kitchen, a huge fireplace and so much more! It was really big and was quite exciting! The only thing missing was a pool and WiFi.

We had a really chilled afternoon watching Finding Nemo, reading and playing Uno. We went out for dinner, to a restaurant called The Poacher, I had a chicken schnitzel with cheese sauce, chips and vegetables and then a chocolate mousse for dessert.

We walked back to our castle, watched Finding Dory and then went to bed.
