How to spot a South African SAFFAS!!

in southafrica •  6 years ago

Planning to visit South Africa? Or just interested in other cultures, either way here follows a few pointers if you ever meet a South African

  • They will most likely greet you with "howzit" "hoe lyk dit" or "sho"
  • Their favourite past time is "braai", it is cooking meat over an open fire, Note: if you want to impress them say something like " I want to braai" or " lets have a braai"
  • Never criticize their sport teams , they are sport crazy especially on Rugby and Cricket
  • Avoid politics they already know about the crime and corruption and have to deal with it daily
  • "Cheers" means good buy
