We all know how massive space is, that's why it's called space, its so big we don't even know how truly large it is..

Living here on this spinning globe we tend to think of ourselves as the centre of the universe, that's a little self centered when you take moment to ponder NASA's newly released picture of Earth from 39.5 million miles away

See that white dot in the middle of the picture? That's us in the dark expanse that is space baby! Our moon is just to the right, that little spec you can barely make out

That snap was from one of NASA's space probes named Osiris Rex. It's flying around the galaxy for 505 days before it's scheduled to return to Earth.

That picture is the furthest away our home planet has been photographed and it really does a great job of showing just how tiny we are in the big scheme of things.

You're still important to me though 😁

Thanks for reading,

“Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.”
― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Don't think I've ever seen a selfie taken from a camera so far away

We are only a tiny blue marble in the great expanse of the universe. If you have ever looked at the sky at night with no light pollution, where you can actually see the stars, it is a very awe-inspiring and humbling experience. You get to see just how insignificant we really are in the grand scheme of things.
