Moon Water

Thanks for sharing this, a very interesting article but I wonder about the geopolitical implications of the moon becoming a site of potential resource wealth. As drinkable fresh water becomes more scarce on earth, there may be need to tap the moon. Your post assumes that NASA will claim this water ( and after all US was the first to land on the moon) but how will that sovereignty be enforced, and what’s to stop other countries or even private space flight companies from taking a slice? Also, I wonder if a base on the moon for the purposes of refueling and supporting further exploration might end up as a significant trapped asset as space travel improves and we venture further? I could imagine in the future Mars being a far more valuable and useful base site than the moon. Anyways, very thought provoking, thanks!
