NASA Test Booster

No possibility of reuse , the NASA SLS ( Space Launch System ) is the booster that will power the Orion spacecraft at the end of 2018, he first step in the journey to Mars . The test done in the last hours at the Promontory , in Utah , has demonstrated the full functionality of the engine from a temperature of only 4.4 ° C , although after a few seconds it has achieved at 3315 ° C .

The goal of this experiment is to certify the booster , yet the data must be processed by engineers but it all seemed to go the right way . SLS is designed to push out of orbit astronauts and provide enough power for travel into deep space , the booster will offer its support alongside the main engine of Orion , the most powerful ever built by man so far .

This is the video. Enjoy :)
